Someone is always ahead of you on something. That is true for everyone, and it does not mean you are failing.
Your road is different. Your timing is different. What looks slow from the outside might be exactly the right speed for you.
Keep your eyes on your own lane. Ask yourself if you are a little better than yesterday. If yes, that counts.
Keep going at the pace you can keep. Steady wins more than you would guess.
The comparison trap
It is easy to look at someone else and think they are further along. Maybe they are. But you are seeing their results, not their whole road. You do not see the late nights, the setbacks, or the help they got along the way. And they cannot see yours.
What your pace really means
A slower pace is not a worse pace. Some people bloom early and some bloom late. Some of the best things in life take years to grow. Trees that grow slowly tend to have the strongest wood.
If you are tired, rest. If you are stuck, take one small step. If you are doing the best you can with the day you have, that counts.
A question to ask
Instead of asking whether you are fast enough, ask whether you moved today. Even one inch forward is movement. Keep going, at your own speed. You are doing fine.
Make someone's day
Pass this on. One kind message can change a whole day. Then play a game that does some good.
