Most of us think change needs a big block of time. A free weekend. A fresh start in January. A day when everything finally slows down.
That day rarely shows up. So we wait, and the thing we wanted to build stays a thought.
Here is what I believe now. Five minutes a week is enough to start. Ten is better. What matters is that you show up on purpose.
Pick one thing that makes you feel good and makes the people around you feel good too. Call someone you have been meaning to call. Write down three things you are thankful for. Walk outside and pray. Plan one small win for the week ahead.
Do it at the same time each week so it becomes part of your life instead of one more thing on the list. Sunday night works. So does Monday morning before the phone starts buzzing.
Small steps do not look like much on day one. After a month they look like a habit. After a year they look like a different life.
You do not have to be the smartest person in the room to do this. You just have to be willing to start. I am still learning too, and we can build this together.
So here is your step. Set a timer for five minutes this week. Choose one good thing. Do it. Then come back and tell me how it went.
