I am going to say something that might surprise you. You do not have to be the smartest person in the room to win. You do not have to be the most talented, the best connected or the one who got a head start.
Most big wins I have seen come from ordinary people who kept going after everyone else got tired. They stayed consistent, stayed kind, stayed teachable and kept showing up. That is available to you today.
I love God, I love people, and I am still building every day. That is my starting point and it works for me. Let’s walk through why small, steady steps are more powerful than they look.
The math that changes everything
Imagine you get just 1% better each day. That is not a big change. You would barely notice it from one day to the next. But 1% compounds, the same way interest does. After one year, you are not 365% better. You are about 38 times better.
1% better every day vs. 1% worse every day
Calculated as 1.01 to the power of 365 (about 37.8) and 0.99 to the power of 365 (about 0.03). It is a model of compounding, not a promise about any one life, but the lesson holds up: small things repeat into big things.
Look at the red line. The same 1% in the wrong direction takes you almost to zero. That is why a skipped call, a skipped workout, a skipped prayer or a skipped follow up is never just one day. Direction matters more than speed.
How the green line grows
Notice that the first month only gets you 35% better. Most people quit right there. The big numbers show up later for people who stay.
