Last year someone sent me a short text out of nowhere. It said, “Thinking of you. You are a good man.” I read it three times. It came on a day I needed it more than they knew.
You do not know what someone is carrying
The person who seems fine may be having a hard week. A short message can be a lifeline.
Keep it simple
“I was thinking about you.” “I am proud of you.” “Thank you for being you.” No need for more.
Do not wait for the perfect time
Send it now. If you wait, the moment passes and the message never gets sent.
Who comes to mind right now? Send them a text.
One message can change a day
You may think of someone and never say it. A short text like “Thinking of you, hope you are well” takes ten seconds and can lift someone more than you know. People rarely tell you how much it meant. They just remember.
Make it a habit
Each morning, send one text to someone you have not spoken to in a while. Keep it simple and sincere. You do not need a perfect message or a big reason.
If they reply, great. If not, you still did a good thing. Over time you rebuild friendships, and you feel more connected yourself.
Make someone's day
Pass this on. One kind message can change a whole day. Then play a game that does some good.
