Headlines are built to grab attention. A bad story spreads faster than a good one, so it can feel like the world is mostly bad. But when I look at my own life, I see something different.
Most people I know are trying to do right by their family. They work, they pray, they show up for a friend, and they help a stranger when they can. You rarely see those stories on the front page.
Look at your own street
Think about the last week. Who helped you? Who did you help? A neighbor who brought in your trash can. A cashier who waited while you found your card. Those moments add up.
Goodness is quiet
The good things often happen without a camera. That does not make them smaller. Quiet goodness keeps families together and towns running.
Be one of the good ones on purpose
You can tip the scale in your own small way. Send an encouraging text. Call an older friend. Try a Kindness Drop and see who you make smile today.
Good people are not rare. They are just easy to miss. Let’s keep being the ones who notice them, and be one of them too.
