How you begin the day tends to set its tone. If you start rushed and tense, it is hard to find calm later.
You do not need to wake up at 5 a.m. or follow a perfect routine. A slow morning is about a few small choices.
Try these
Lay out your clothes the night before. Keep your phone out of reach for the first fifteen minutes. Drink a glass of water. Take a few slow breaths by a window. Say a short prayer or set one intention for the day, like, today I will be patient.
If you have kids, it may be loud no matter what. That is okay. Even one quiet minute in the bathroom with the door closed counts. Take what you can get.
Give yourself the gift of margin
If you can wake up ten minutes earlier, that little space can change everything. Not to do more, but to feel less hurried.
Try one change this week and see how it feels. Small mornings add up to better days.
