We all carry something. A mistake we wish we could undo, words we wish we had not said, a chance we missed.
It can follow us for years if we let it. But holding onto the past does not change it. It only makes today heavier.
Grace is for you too
Almost every spiritual path teaches mercy. The Psalms speak of a love that forgives. The Quran calls God the Most Merciful. Rumi wrote about the wound being the place where the light enters. If grace is offered that freely, maybe we can offer a little of it to ourselves.
What to do next
Take responsibility for what is yours. If you can make it right with someone, do it. If you cannot, learn the lesson and let it go. Then take one good step today, even a small one.
You are not your worst moment. You are someone who is still learning, still growing, and still loved. Get up and keep going. The sun rises again, and so can you.
