Maybe you got hurt. Maybe life got busy. Maybe you just stopped. It happens to all of us, and it does not mean you failed.
The good news is that walking is one of the easiest ways to start again.
Start smaller than feels useful
Five minutes counts. Walk to the corner and back. The goal is not distance. The goal is to show up again.
Pick the same time each day
After breakfast. Before dinner. When the kids are at practice. A set time turns a hope into a habit.
Add one minute at a time
Go a little farther when it feels easy. Do not rush it. Slow and steady wins, every time.
Make it enjoyable
Bring a friend, a podcast, or a favorite song. Walk somewhere pretty if you can. If you enjoy it, you will keep doing it.
Rest is allowed
Take a day off when you need one. Then come back. Coming back is what counts.
If you have any health concerns, talk to your doctor first. Then put your shoes on and take the first step. You can do this.
