Most people think you have to quit your job to become an entrepreneur. You do not. Some of the strongest businesses start on nights, weekends and lunch breaks.
Keep the job. It pays the bills, and it takes the panic out of your decisions. When money is not an emergency, you think clearer and make better calls.
Start with one hour a day, or even five hours a week. Put it on your calendar like a meeting you cannot skip.
Pick one problem you can solve for one type of person. Not ten problems. One. The smaller the target, the faster you learn.
Be honest with your employer where it matters. Read your contract, avoid conflicts of interest, and never build on company time. Doing this right protects your name.
Share what you are building with people you trust. Ask them to be honest with you. Their feedback is worth more than their applause.
Do not wait until you feel ready. Nobody does. You get ready by doing the next small thing.
The goal is not to escape your job. The goal is to build something that feels good and helps people. Start this week.
