Big budgets are not what get a new business going. Conversations are.
Make a list of 30 people who might have the problem you solve. Friends of friends count. Former coworkers count. Neighbors count.
Reach out one at a time. Do not send a mass message. Say who you are, what you are working on, and ask a real question about their situation.
Listen more than you talk. If you hear the same problem three times, you have found something worth building around.
Offer a simple first version of your service at a fair price, or free for a small group in exchange for honest feedback. Then ask for a short review or an introduction.
Keep a notebook of every question people ask. Those questions become your website, your posts and your next product.
Treat the first ten like family. Follow up, say thank you, and fix problems fast. Happy customers talk, and word of mouth is the cheapest marketing there is.
Start with five conversations this week. That is all.
