Money matters. It pays the bills and opens doors. But money alone is a thin reason to build something.
The entrepreneurs I respect most want to serve. They look at a problem and say, I can help with that.
Build in a way you would be proud to explain to your kids. Be honest on price. Keep your word. Pay people on time. Say no to deals that make you uneasy.
Stay patient. Most good things take longer than we planned. Keep your standards high and your ego small.
Share the credit. Thank the people who help you, out loud and in writing.
Rest too. A tired builder makes poor choices. Protect your sleep, your faith, your family and your health.
If you are just starting, you are in good company. Every business owner was a beginner once.
Build something good. Let the rest follow.
